Thank you to all the volunteers who came out in 2023. Covid affected many and there are now even more people “housing challenged”. Over the past 3 years there are more people forced to live on the streets, suicides are higher than ever and a warm baked potato would have been a welcome meal for many.
If you can’t bake — bring butter or sour cream, shredded cheese or a bowl of chopped green onions…and your enthusiasm!
MOST IMPORTANT IS TO BRING WELL COOKED SPUDS AND All THE TRIMMINGS:
Thanks for caring and sharing…
_________
HOW TO BAKE SPUDS:
When cooking spuds…PLEASE ENSURE YOU COOK THEM ALL THE WAY through
SPUDS n DUDS TABLE
As well as potatoes please bring any of the following: Used clean warm clothing – men’s & women’s coats, pants, shoes,
shirts, socks, sweaters, sweatshirts, hats, gloves, scarves, blankets or sleeping bags are always welcomed.
If the sponsor doesn't have a table - bring them in cardboard boxes that you can place on the ground
Please reach out to us if you wish to become a sponsor in your city
Each city coordinator brings the all the plates / serving bowls/ forks / salt & pepper.
Volunteers help with a financial donation to cover this expense.
END OF YEAR 2023 UPDATE:
We're looking for a volunteer "city coordinator" to help establish more cities. If you are interested please contact me. The main responsibility is to find that special person who can commit to being there once a month and to help the new people establish a consistency. They will have to supply & store several tables plus the bowls & utensils for the serving supplies each month. It's a very rewarding experience for the whole family to participate in.
Where ever People/Devas are going hungry… Let's serve SPUDS!
Surrey, Edmonton, CALGARY, Winnipeg, Ottawa, Toronto, Montreal, Seattle, Portland, in California and all US Cities…
